Poetry Reading with Miki Conn

Miki Conn reads from and discusses her book "Out of My Mind: A Quirky Look at Life Through Poetry."

The poems, illustrated by Conn's original artwork, reflect on the beauty, challenges, emotions, and spirituality of everyday life.

"Conn's poems courageously and magnificently intensify the meaning of life-the material world equally with the spiritual world. This book is a must read." - Leonard Slade, Jr., author of "Sweet Solitude"

Miki Conn is an artist, poet, and storyteller. A graduate of Howard University, she is the former director of the Hamilton Hill Arts Center where she is currently a volunteer and gallery coordinator. Her African and Native American heritage inspired an interest in indigenous arts and multiculturalism.
